What to know about THIS setup

  • A 100 W dock does NOT power these machines: their charger is 135 to 230 W. The dock gives you screen, network and ports, but the manufacturer's charger stays plugged in. Anybody who does not know this watches the battery drain with everything connected and cannot work out why.
  • That is why a USB-C monitor replaces nothing here: no monitor delivers that much power.
